Remember when the Americans dressed as Indians and dumped tea into the Boston Harbor? Well, you too can experience the Revolutionary War. Come see where it all started and show your children the USS Constitution, the home of Paul Revere, Old North Church and many of the sites of the Revolutionary War. After discovering our country’s history, check out the Aquarium, Fenway Park, Faneuil Hall, or have some chowder and lobster. If you have time, travel up to Portland Maine for a trip aboard a lobsterman’s boat and see how lobster is really caught. This is a great family trip for kids of all ages.
Whether your ancestors were Yankees or Confederates, come see where the most deadly battle in American History took place. We have both an Atlanta and a Charleston Tour. See the historic antebellum homes; learn more about the civil war, slavery and where the battles took place. In addition, go on a “Gone with the Wind Tour” and the “Coca Cola” tour in Atlanta. After exploring Charleston, spend a day or so at the beach. Both cities have great aquariums and excellent Southern Food as well. What a great way to experience the South.
Chicago is known for its gangsters, architecture and sports. See where Mrs. O’Leary’s famous cow kicked over the lantern to start the famous Chicago fire. Take a boat ride along the Chicago River and see all the buildings that made Chicago the architectural capital. The Chicago World’s Fair of 1893 provided a home to many Chicago museums, including the Shedd Aquarium, the Field Museum, the Museum of Science and Industry and the Planetarium. See the beautiful views from the top of the Hancock or Willis Tower and visit the nation’s oldest zoo. See the Cubs play at Wrigley Field, have some deep dish pizza and visit the fabulous Millennium Park.
Hawaii is always a family favorite. Besides ocean breezes and beautiful sunsets, it offers luaus, volcanoes, surfing, snorkeling, golf and a visit to Pearl Harbor. Each island is slightly different, but it is a great destination for families with a variety of ages and interests. While it is in the United States, the islands make it feel exotic and adventurous. You can take a cruise from island to island, stay in a thatched hut or a five star resort. There are many ways to see Hawaii and all are wonderful opportunities for a family reunion or a week of relaxation or adventure.
Alaska is God’s country. It is one of the most remote and beautiful states in the country. The glaciers, huskies, whales and moose make for scenery unlike any other place on earth. There are few roads so the only way to get around is by sea plane or boat. A cruise offers something for everyone. Excursions can include fishing for crabs, riding with the huskies, white water rafting on a glacier, helicopter rides and more. This will be an unforgettable family experience.
